As usual do the lowest components first — resistors and diodes — then sockets, ceramic capacitors, power header, transistors, film caps, electrolytic caps... Something like that. Consider: 1 simple on/off switch/button/knob/etc. PSU \+12V, -12V and ground needed, probably up to 1amp - maybe not as efficient as a sequence of 8 voltages controllable by individual knobs.
