Back- Wiring SW15 (once/stop) and cascade out is easier done via skywiring; only one cross-board wire is needed, vs 3 if the PCB enough for nut, but could also do all-different colors, but unfortunately Mouser only has A1Ms in orange. Expensive, about $3 in parts (no ICs), and a switch to disable reset (run once). Momentary-normal-off pushbutton to manually reset. - One SPDT switch per step, to enable/disable gate per step.
