BackBad trace. Single-step button (SW13) isn't producing a high enough voltage to trigger steps. Replace C10 with 100K resistor, and bridge out R44 with a capacitor / resistor pair, see Fireball's hard sync input. But could also do all-different colors, but unfortunately Mouser only has A1Ms in orange. Expensive, about $3 each. * Replacing LEDs in these is supposed.
